10 Fashion Technology

Course Description Recommended Prior Learning

To study this course you will need to enjoy:

drawing and designing
being creative
sewing

This is a Fashion Design and Making course.

(This course is dependent on numbers and may be combined with the Textiles course if required. If it is a combined Fashion & Textiles course students will complete a project from each course; one fashion project and one textiles project.)

This course involves fashion design as well as making fashion clothes.

You will learn:

how to produce fashion drawings
how to develop your creative thinking and design skills
how to use a design process to design and make garments
how to use commercial patterns
how to use a sewing machine
about different types of fabrics and their properties

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students will be required to purchase the stationery on the school stationery list, ready for the start of the course.
