Course Description
Economics 301
Level 3 Economics develops an in-depth appreciation of the workings of the New Zealand economy. The course develops the student’s prior understanding of the market and examines the role of the New Zealand Government in resource allocation. The Monetary Policy Challenge, where students experience the realistic simulation of deciding an appropriate monetary policy setting, may also be available. Level 3 Economics also complements the Business 301 Course.

Preferable: Levels 1 & 2 Economics. Students who have not studied Economics at prior levels will need permission from the HOD of Commerce to take this course.
