This course is open to all students.


Outdoor Education and Sport:
This course offers a mixture of Level 3 credits which are Achievement Standards and Unit Standards. 

It covers the following topics: Rock Climbing, Injury Management, Sports Coaching, River Safety, Safety Management and Badminton.  

This course is not a University Entrance subject but it is a great option for those who wish to gain NCEA Level 3. Students must have good attendance and be willing to attend days off site to complete the course
NOT a UE Approved Subject

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

$50 Voluntary Donation towards the cost of Rock Climbing and River Crossing skills. STAR funding will cover the rest of the cost of this course.
Requires half a day preparation at Fergs Kayaks to ensure belaying skills are up to scratch. Two days for Rock climbing. Then 1 or 2 days to do River Crossing.
