Outdoor Education and Sport:
This course offers a mixture of Level 3 credits which are Achievement Standards and Unit Standards.
It covers the following topics: Rock Climbing, Injury Management, Sports Coaching, River Safety, Safety Management and Badminton.
This course is not a University Entrance subject but it is a great option for those who wish to gain NCEA Level 3. Students must have good attendance and be willing to attend days off site to complete the course

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery$50 Voluntary Donation towards the cost of Rock Climbing and River Crossing skills. STAR funding will cover the rest of the cost of this course.
Requires half a day preparation at Fergs Kayaks to ensure belaying skills are up to scratch. Two days for Rock climbing. Then 1 or 2 days to do River Crossing.
