Students will be placed by the HOD in the Level 1 Mathematics course which most suits their background and ability.



Mathematics and Numeracy 101


This course is for students who have found Mathematics in Year 10 difficult. The course aims to cover useful and applied mathematics and gain Numeracy for students. The selection of standards offered will depend on the individual student’s needs. Some Financial Capability standards are offered.


This course is based on Level 4 and 5 of the New Zealand Curriculum.

Student would be advantaged by having a device and a calculator is strongly encouraged.
