English Language Learners
The Year 10 English Language Learners’ course assists students in their language development, comprehension and writing skills. The course is particularly aimed at students who have only been learning English for a few years.

There is an emphasis on developing the students’ speaking and listening skills, as well as learning strategies for improving reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition. Students are supported in developing their writing, with a focus on different genre, such as information texts, recounts and opinion writing.


There is diagnostic testing at the start and at the end of the year. Students are informed individually about their progress.
