Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs T. Tippett.

Recommended Prior Learning

You will need a strong interest in drawing, design and being creative, as well as wanting to work with fabrics and to learn how to use a sewing machine.

You will need to be good at self management to manage your own project, and be able to work well alongside everyone in our classroom learning community to support each other to succeed.


Do you want to become a forward thinking fashion designer ?

(Please note this is a different course to our Textiles Technology course).

Come and join the future fashion designers as we learn together the skills and knowledge needed to design, develop and create something to wear.

  You will learn:

  •  the basics of fashion drawing (fashion drawing is run once a week and a separate project to the sewing projects)
  •  to create a garment
  •  to interpret and use garment patterns
  •  the basics of machine sewing

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

There is a contribution of $40 toward the materials for the take home components.
Students will be required to purchase the stationery on the school stationery list.
