Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Cameron
This achievement standards course covers the aspects of performance as a soloist and as part of a group, composition, instrumentation, aural transcription, score analysis and musical knowledge. This course is suited to students who not only wish to perform and compose, but also study the rudiments of theory, and music in its historical context.
Recommended Prior Learning
Compulsory: A minimum of 14 Music 101 credits
Preferable: Performance and theory ability to at least a Grade 4 level
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$11 to cover specialist classroom equipment. There are no days out of school but itinerant music lessons will be scheduled on a rotating timetable basis for those opting for these.
