NCEA Level 3 Mathematics With Calculus 301
Teacher in Charge: L. MacEwan
This course aims to consolidate and extend students’ mathematical skills, as well as further develop logical thinking and problem solving techniques. This course has a strong Algebra base and students will need to be competent in manipulation skills to do this course. This course is designed around the Level 3 Achievement Standards and Level 8 of the New Zealand Mathematics Curriculum.

Compulsory: Merit in 2.6, 2.7 and 17 credits from Level 2 Mathematics
Students who do not meet these criteria may be placed in this subject by HOD discretion.
Total Credits Available: 26 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 17 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 9 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
