Geography 301
The course explores a variety of geographic topics in depth and breadth. We focus on the cultural environment with emphasis on Tourism Development as a Cultural Process. We study how tourism has grown and changed in New Zealand, including a field trip to Rotorua, where students will also conduct their own research project into an aspect of tourism. We also look into a global topic and a global contemporary issue. The course is designed to develop conceptual understandings, skills in field work, research, analysis and presentation of information.
