Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs T. Tippett

This course builds upon the level 2 course and is a university entrance course. This course is run in the sewing room.

In this course students will learn:

  1. Complex sewing techniques
  2. To draft garment blocks and patterns
  3. In-depth understanding of fabrics and practical applications of materials
  4. To design and make applied design products

PLEASE NOTE: There will be costs for materials for take home products. 

 This course is NCEA approved toward university entrance.

Recommended Prior Learning

A minimum of 14 credits from the Level 2 Fashion and Textiles course.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

There will be costs for all materials used, as projects are taken home.
