Course Description

Drama 101

This interesting and exciting course extends the student's academic knowledge and practical skills. Through exploring various scripts students will deepen their understanding of Theatre Aotearoa and will delve into more complex acting techniques. Working collaboratively remains a focus as we devise our own performances and work together to put on full class production. Being actively involved in the rehearsal and creation process are integral to your success in this subject. Students with a drive to succeed are to be encouraged to follow their passion and select this course.



Recommended Prior Learning

No prior learning is required - but good attendance and a willingness to participate will support success in this collaborative subject. 

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students are encouraged to attend at least one optional trip to see a live performance. The cost is usually between $15-30 per performance.
