NCEA Level 2 Music Performance Technology 201
Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Cameron
This Practical Music Performance /Music Technology course offers students the opportunity to select a course which can be suited to their strengths. This course focuses on Performance, Composition, Live Sound, Recording and Digital Music Systems. Students can also research an aspect of the New Zealand music scene of their choosing.
Students work in an individualistic manner, choosing which standards they will undertake in their course. Students pick one Major (Solo Performance or Composition), and two Minors (any of the smaller credit standards). Term 1 will see students focussing on their first Minor.
A student's Major focus will be undertaken in Term 2, and Term 3 will see a student completing their course with their second Minor. Students can pick up additional work & standards as they choose, however this is only after the completion of their Major & two Minors.
Students keep working on their major and second minor standards, and many start an additional standard.
Students ensure all work towards the standards they want to enter is completed.
