FRE101 Year 11 French - NCEA L1
Year 11 French is an interactive course that encourages confidence in communicating in French in everyday situations. Topics include food and eating out, film, travel plans, health, towns and cities in France, communicating in formal situations and making plans with friends. The French course promotes the importance of language and cultural understanding in an international world.
The internal assessments include a writing portfolio and two authentic interactions. Reading and Listening skills will be assessed during the external exam period at the end of the year.
Students studying FRE101 will be set-up for success in subsequent years at NCEA L2 and L3 levels.
Recommended Prior Learning
Compulsory: Year 10 French or at HOD discretion
