My Kai, your kai - discovering how food in a cultural context helps us to look at our different and similar attitudes and values in relation to food.  What happens in my home and my community?  What recipes are significant and how can food be used as an expression of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga?  We will learn all of this through making different breads from different cultures and then showcasing them at our new Tawa College Bread show.  We will explore and make breads such as Rewena, pani popo, a white loaf, pita bread, naan and bagels.  Students will learn the science the bread making process.
