This course includes a biological investigation of the local environment, learning how plants and animals are suited to survive and reproduce in their environment, basic cell biology, and some genetics. Skills that will be developed include data processing, experimental design, critical thinking, and use of microscopes. The standards chosen for assessment are from Biology and Earth and Space Science. The course is intended for students with an interest in Biology who do not intend to take Sciences at university level.
