9 Drama 2
A step up from 9DRA1, this course has an emphasis on group devised work as well as using acting techniques in a scripted performance of a whole class play.  The focus is more group and performance based than 9DRA1. Working collectively on larger projects is a feature of the course. Dedicated students can and are encouraged to do both. 

Assessments in this half year course include:

Devised Drama – Group devised Drama using Elements and Conventions of Drama to create a public performance. 

Technology - A group Shadow Puppetry performance for a local primary school based on various  ethnicity's myths and legends.

Whole class play – Using acting Techniques, Technologies, Elements and Conventions of Drama. A nightly performance/s for whānau and friends.

Public performance in all assessments is compulsory.

Textbook, pens, pencils, glue etc.
